During your first appointment, our team will compile information about your pet, and welcome you both into the Guilford-Jamestown Veterinary Hospital family!
Please arrive about 10 minutes early for your first appointment to fill out a New Patient Form. If you'd like to save a bit of time, you can complete this form online.
After you and your pet have been introduced to your vet, we'll review your pet's medical history, ask questions about their daily life, and discuss goals for care. Feel free to ask any questions you may have!
The next step in getting to know your pet is a full 'nose to tail' exam. Your vet will examine your pet’s skin, coat, eyes, ears, mouth, and nose, as well the legs, joints, abdomen, and anal sac. We'll also listen to your pet's heart and lungs.
If your pet is due for any vaccinations or lab work, we will also take care of these during this appointment.
Yes, if at all possible, please call ahead to book an appointment to ensure we have room in our schedule to see your pet.
In the event that your pet needs emergency care during our regular business hours, please contact us right away.
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call us as soon as you know about the change of plans so that we can offer the space in our schedule to other patients.
While we don't have a cancellation penalty, we ask that you do your best to respect the schedules of our veterinary team. Thanks!
Payment will be due at the time of the appointment. Payment can be made by cash, debit card, or credit card.
We take care of all small domestic pets such as dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, reptiles, and rodents.
We accept payment by debit card, credit card (VISA, MC, AMEX), and cash. All services require payment and unfortunately we do not offer payment plans or delayed billing.
You can purchase all the medications and specialty food your pet needs either via our online store or our in-house pharmacy.
You can refill food or medication prescriptions through our online store, or by calling our office.
Food orders should include brand and bag size.
Medication refills should include the name, strength, and quantity of the medication. Your pet must be a current patient.
Yes, we offer boarding services for both dogs, cats, and exotic pets.
